Any member who catches a reasonable size fish can enter it in to the Species of the Year whether he/she is fishing a competition or not.

If the fish has been caught out of competition times then By-Law rule 5A/5B applies.

The fish of whatever species with the highest percentage of the Current Club Record for that species will be awarded the Species of the Year (see By-Law 6).

By-Law's PDF can be downloaded here.
