Record Breakers

This fine specimen of a flounder was caught on Ragworm

at Fareham Creek on the 25th January 2004.

This broke the current record held by Simon Holloway

The weight was 3lbs 10˝ ozs (1660grms)

Pictured here is Dave Ellis who we normally see behind the counter at Daves Tackle

He currently holds the club record for Smoothound off the beach.

This fish was caught and landed at Hillhead in July 1997 and weigh in at a staggering 19lbs 8ozs (8284grms).

The current British Shore Record stands at 20lbs 3ozs (9157grms)

Pictured here is Mark Dew whilst competing in the wednesday evening Big Fish Competition was fishing off Gilkicker 26th November 2003

He landed this 6lbs 14oz ( 3118grms ) Bass breaking the current junior beach club record.

Pictured on the left is Jim Masson showing off  this club record Black Bream

The fish weighed in at 4lbs 8ozs ( 2.041Kgs )

Not only does he get Species of the Year but also the new Club Record and a Specimen Award from the N.F.S.A.

Pictured on the right is Ben Coleborn holding up a Junior Club record breaking Undulate Ray

The Ray was caught on 7th May 2006 on board his Dads boat " sling yer ook " out at White Cliff Bay.

The Ray weighed in at 7.144Kgs ( 15lbs 12oz )

Pictured here is Ben Coleborn who must be on a mission to break all the junior boat records.

He holding up a nice specimen Ballen Wrasse caught during the species race on Sunday 11th June.

It was caught on his dads boat  "sling yer ook" off Bembridge Ledge

The fish weighed in at 1.650Kgs ( 3lbs 10Ľoz ) breaking the old record of 2lbs 3oz.

The Ray was caught during a Beach Competition on the Isle of Wight , the fish was released after it was weighed

The Ray weighed in at an astonishing 6.237Kgs (13lbs 12oz)
