1. The Beach Championship will be fished over 18
competitions with all 18 to count for the Championship.
2. As per the club rules at least half the
competitions will be commodore. Commodore matches can be changed due to
inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances but remain commodore matches. The
Officer of the day will pick an alternative venue, to be voted on by all those
fishing at the start of the competition.
3. All commodore competitions to be fished within
the boundaries stated on the fixture list. All Free - lance ( Rover )
competitions to be fished in Area E as defined by the N.F.S.A., with the
exception of the Eastern Limit which will be extended to take in Selsey Bill.
4. No member is to fish places, which are not
accessible to the general public. Competitions must be fished from land or a
fixed structure ( i.e piers Not pontoons or moored boats ).
5. Club Open and Xmas Fayre competitions will not
count towards the Club Championship.
6. An Officer of the Day shall be picked before
each competition starts.
7. Competitors may fish with 2 rods and a maximum
of 3 hooks between the 2 rods.
8. If less than 3 people turn out for a
competition it will be cancelled.
9. Competitors should be at the clubhouse before
the competition starts. A form will be on the notice board for all latecomers
who must then sign it before leaving. Latecomers will not be eligible for the
Optional Pools. Competitors may not leave the clubhouse until directed to do so
by the Officer of the Day.
10. All fish must be back at the clubhouse before
the finish time stated unless dispensation is received.
11. For club matches Eels of all sizes count.
12. The weigh - in for each competition must not
start before the end of the competition.
13. The weigh - in will be carried out by the
Officer of the Day.
14. The method of measuring fish will be from
nose to tail with the mouth closed and on a flat surface.
15. All fish suspected of being undersized will
be measured and if they are more than one half inch under size then twice the
weight of that fish will be deducted from the total catch weight.
16. Competitions will be run on a points system:
I. The Heaviest Bag - 100 points +
10
points for fishing.
II. All positions take a percentage of the
top weight and 10 points for fishing
III. Specimen fish ( One Only ) - 10 points per
species, per person per competition. ( Wessex
Specimen List )
17. There are two Optional Pools:£1 - Heaviest
Fish, £1 - Heaviest Bag.
18. Smoothounds are banned on Rover matches but
may be weighed - in at point of capture on commodore matches .
Scales may be taken to commodore matches to
save time travelling back to the clubhouse.
These must be returned to the clubhouse as soon
as possible after a match day.
MEMBERS ARE NOT TO LEAVE FISH ON THE CLUB
PREMISES OR TO DUMP THEM IN THE SEA OFF THE SLIPWAY
